The bird plucker


Dutch interior with a maid plucking fowl in a kitchen, a child standing next to her and pointing at the bird, a spiral staircase beyond; after Abraham de Pape. The illustration was published in Johannes Immerzeel’s “Het Koninklijk Museum van ‘s Gravenhage, op steen gebragt” (Amsterdam: 1828-1833). The litho was produced by Carel Christiaan Antony Last and printed on chine collé by Desguerrois & Co. The image is 27 x 21 cm, comes in a passe-partout and is in good condition.
